Remove Desktop Wallpaper To Save Memory

If you have a really old computer then you can save a lot of processing power and memory by turning off the desktop wallpaper. Back when I had my Pentium 233 MHz processor refreshing the desktop was quite a task and a wallpaper really did not help. Turning it off, I saw a slight performance increase. When you have 64 MB of SDRAM you should take whatever increase you get and be happy with it.

Nonsense, it is best to have a huge 2560×1600 image that’s scaled down by the computer to fit the 640×480 that your monitor can handle.
