Awstats is a built in tool in Cpanel to check stats. It is quite comprehensive but at the same time simple and is the place to go if you are looking for incoming links from search engines or which file was most accessed on your site.
The best part is that the service is free and you don’t have to configure it or install it. Try it out.

If you don’t feel like upgrading WordPress manually you can use the WordPress Automatic Upgrade plugin to do it for you. I’ve tried it and works well. It even gives you an option to back up things in case anything goes wrong.
You should try it if you have WordPress is some old version.

We are posting in English and it is important to post in simple words so that your meaning is readily understandable by anyone with a knowledge of the language.
Using bombastic language might make you seem smart, but the people who really know you will immediately realise that you are just showing off. The probability of errors also increases when you attempt to use complicated language.

In the last post I suggested turning off desktop wallpaper to boost performance. If you have a crappy computer then you should really use the Windows Classic theme instead of the colourful Windows XP default theme. It looks ugly, yes, but your operating system will feel more responsive. Worth the trade-off? You decide.

If you have a really old computer then you can save a lot of processing power and memory by turning off the desktop wallpaper. Back when I had my Pentium 233 MHz processor refreshing the desktop was quite a task and a wallpaper really did not help. Turning it off, I saw a slight performance increase. When you have 64 MB of SDRAM you should take whatever increase you get and be happy with it.

When you right click a file you get a Send To option (Windows XP) in the context menu that lists some locations such as the floppy drive and any other removable drives. The interesting thing about this menu is that it can be customized easily.
Go to Run and type ’sendto’. A folder will open with all the options. You can add programs like Notepad so that you can open text files that are not associated with the program easily or you could add folders for quickly moving the data. Delete the options you don’t need. Try it out!
